A chill is in the air and the holidays are upon us. While more wheels may be on the ground this time of year, our thoughts are still in the sky, making this the perfect season to start planning next year’s flying events.
It’s no surprise then that the International Council of Air Shows (ICAS) will be holding its annual convention December 6-9th at the Rio All-Suite Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. According to ICAS, their organization is dedicated to building and sustaining a vibrant air show industry, and demands that its members operate their businesses at only the highest levels of safety, professionalism, and integrity.
First held in 1967, the ICAS brings together air show performers, support service providers, and consultants across the air show industry all in one place. The 60,000 square foot exhibit hall hosting the event this year has nine hours of programming scheduled during the week.
Air Shows 101, one of the event’s most popular workshops, has been held during this conference for a quarter of a century. Programming includes everything from event sponsorship and marketing sessions to air performer workshops and forums.
