Propeller Model Used By Bruce Bohannon To Set Time-To-Climb Record At EAA AIRVENTURE ’99 IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR PRODUCTION AIRCRAFT

PIQUA, Ohio – December 10, 1999 — Hartzell Propeller Inc. has developed a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for installation of a new three-bladed propeller system onto all Piper Cherokee Six-260 (PA-32-260) aircraft. This propeller model, used on the Exxon Flyin’ Tiger aircraft to set a time-to-climb record now joins Hartzell’s family of lightweight, modern, compact piston propeller systems. The 78-inch diameter propeller replaces the 82-inch diameter two-blade propeller.
The new Top Prop™ system will offer improved service and maintenance benefits including a 6 year 2,400 hour TBO (the longest service interval available), as well a two-inch increase in ground clearance, reduced noise levels and slightly improved climb and cruise performance.

The prop features the strongest coverage in the business … the Hartzell Plus Three™ warranty … which covers parts and service for three years or 1,000 hours. List price for the new propeller system is $7,450. The kit includes the propeller assembly, a new polished spinner and a set of STC documents.

Hartzell propeller conversions offer pilots one of the easiest and most economical methods for improving the performance of their aircraft. With a wide variety of Beech, Cessna, Mooney and Piper aircraft kits available, the Top Prop family represents the largest and most complete propeller conversion offering in the world.
Hartzell Propeller Inc. is the world’s leading manufacturer of propeller systems, well known for its advanced engineering and manufacturing capabilities.
