Hartzell Offers Top Prop™ Conversion Kit for Piper Twin Comanche

PIQUA, Ohio — August 10, 1999 — Hartzell Propeller Inc. announced today that it has received a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for Piper Twin Comanche PA30 and PA39 aircraft including those fitted with counter-rotating and turbocharged engines.

The new two-bladed propellers are 70 inches in diameter and feature Hartzell’s exclusive “Q-tip” tip design. The conversion improves ground clearance, lowers noise levels and also includes improved durability double-wall spinners and a longer TBO of 2,400 hours or 6 years.

The conversion kit costs $18,900 and includes two propellers, two polished spinners, STC documentation as well as Hartzell’s Plus III warranty .
