New prop replaces older threaded designs … significantly improves maintenance intervals and TBO

PIQUA, Ohio — June 16, 2003 — Hartzell Propeller Inc. announced today the availability of a new two-bladed replacement propeller system for the Beech model 55 Baron with IO-470-L engines. The system is ideal for those Baron operators looking for the benefits of a new set of propellers with a lower acquisition cost than a three-bladed conversion. Another significant advantage of Hartzell’s upgraded two-bladed system is the elimination of those maintenance problems presented by the older propellers with threaded designs that are common to Barons with IO-470-L engines.

Each propeller is 78-inches in diameter and weighs 71 pounds. The kit delivers a much improved 2400 hour/6 year TBO and the exclusive Hartzell Plus Three™ warranty which provides a full three years or 1000 hours of coverage. Cost for the new kit is $17,250 or $18,500 with alcohol Anti-Ice and includes (2) propellers, (2) polished spinners along with appropriate STC paperwork.
