The first European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) was held in 2001 as a joint venture of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA). It featured 200 exhibitors and about 30 aircraft. Fifteen years later the show has become a can’t miss event. Attendees traveled to Geneva, Switzerland from over 100 countries to see an exhibition featuring 500 exhibitor and nearly 60 aircraft.
The size of the event isn’t the only thing that has changed over the past decade-and-a-half, however. The breakout events of EBACE2015 were the first-ever Innovation Zone, dedicated to the Industry’s future, a seminar on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and the inaugural Young Professionals Networking Event. EBACE may have began at the turn of the millennium, but it has grown to be more future-focused than ever in its 15th year.
Here’s what EBAA CEO Fabio Gamba said about the expo’s crystal anniversary:
“As we marked this 15th year of EBACE, it was clear that the event has always been, and will continue to be, a trade show featuring new products and cutting-edge technologies, and a premier venue for networking and getting the latest information about the trends shaping this dynamic industry.”
